Protocols - Creating the life of your dreams.

OK, I don't know if I should be writing about this.

I don't know if it's good for the human mind.

But I wanted to write it so that I can look back and maybe study it for a while.

I always wanted to be in the NBA.

But did I want it bad enough?

Well no.

Did I run and train hard enough?

Yes.

But the issue for me was I wasn't treating my self right and that made me different. I wasn't confident in my skill because even though I trained hard enough I was drinking a Redbull from time to time. I was getting a cigar after I was at the gym all day hoppin and lifting and that did not make me confident. It made me feel good but it didn't work in my mind.

What else.

I would take a hit of weed from time to time before I would go to the gum plus I would sip a coffee so good of Folgers and sugar and half and half. It tasted unreal while I was stoned listening to the rap station on the radio.

I would get pumped.

Now maybe spending the day at the gym lifting and the stair master made me feel good, and I could do it for hours stoned.

I couldn't get confidence, I just wanted fitness.

I couldn't play five on five that well no matter how hard I trained from time to time because I was stoned. I just didn't have the reflexes stoned. Don't get me wrong I had some awesome games stoned, it just dosent work over time.

I could go into the gym when it was empty when I was stoned and launch for hours. I could just shoot and shoot all day and time would just pass by because I was stoned.

But it did make me think different.

Instead of trying to make every basket I thought it was better to get fit and train differently.

I would launch shots all over the floor. I would launch half courters and full courters to get strong and build resilience. It made me confident. I was chasing the ball all over the court launching shots.

So......

Why I am I saying this?

Because I wanted to tell people how I got good at basketball but at the same time I wish I would have did it differently with what I know now.

How does this work?

Well.....

Training like an NBA player would make more sense. Instead of just running wild.

How do we train like a NBA player?

I don't really know, but I will look it up.

OK, I found some insight on it.

Let me paste it below.

The NBA Workout
  1. Split stance sprinters. 8-10 reps; 2-3 sets. ...
  2. Jump to pull-up. 6-8 reps; 2-3 sets.
  3. Rotational club chops. 8-10 reps; 2-3 sets. ...
  4. Side step to pull-downs. 8-10 reps; 2-3 sets.
  5. Rollouts. 8-10 reps; 2-3 sets. ...
  6. Cable resisted sprints. 8-10 reps of; 2-3 sets. ...
  7. Cable resisted squats. 8-10 reps; 2-3 sets.
  8. Ball handle lunges.

This is what I found.

Have I used this?

No but maybe I should.

But in the other hand I might not.

What did into try to get in the league?

Yoga and posturation.

Running on a treadmill.

The stair master.

Writing down how you feel and what we're you doing to perform at your best.

These are things you could do.

Or you could run the NBA workout.

I don't know what really to say.

But if you start writing it down and do things the right way. You could maybe make the NBA.

Also their are NBA tryouts. Go to your favorite team online and see when they are having tryouts.

You could also try out for the Aba Live.

There are leagues to play in.

But in my opinion you need to do more than just scrimmage.

You need to do drills.

You need to list them out and do them and see if your making progress.

Also spending eight hours a day at the gym like a work day may help as well.

Try it.

Test the waters and see what you come up with.
